MORTON’S NEUROMA

Morton's neuroma is a painful condition affecting the ball of the foot, typically between the third and fourth toes. It occurs when the tissue around one of the nerves leading to the toes thickens, causing sharp, burning pain, numbness, or a sensation of a pebble in the shoe. Contributing factors include high heels, tight shoes, and high-impact activities.

Treatment options range from wearing wider shoes and using orthotic inserts to corticosteroid injections and physical therapy. In severe cases, surgery may be necessary to remove the affected tissue. Early intervention helps relieve pain and prevent further nerve damage, ensuring better foot health and comfort.
